Jessica MacLeod is the co-author and illustrator of the forthcoming Toluma Farms cookbook. Jessica started volunteering at Toluma Farms in early 2020, helping to care for the animals and support the staff while getting paid in cheese. After many months of recipe testing, Jessica will be previewing several dishes from the book that feature Tomales Farmstead Creamery cheese along with other local and seasonal ingredients.
While volunteering on the farm and cooking are her passions, Jessica has been a professional and entrepreneur in the public-interest technology sector for the past 15 years, building start ups, non-profits, and serving in local government. She resides in Mill Valley with her husband Doug and daughter Mary who adventure with her on Mt. Tamalpais and enjoy her experiments in the kitchen.
